Behrens Writing

The six steps of the Behrens writing process are understanding the talk, gathering data, invention, drafting, revising, and editing. Comparing my writing style with this process they do not match up. I tend to skip a lot of the data gathering and write from my own thoughts and experiences. Out of the six steps, understanding the task is the easiest to me. Like most people reading the instructions and asking a few questions on the topic are simple. The most difficult part of this process for me is revising and editing. I know what I want to say in my essay's, but its hard for me to correct things since I dont see them as well as others would.
